It is very difficult to get work experience when you don't have any.  Is there any way in the mean time that you could get involved in voluntary work in IT so you at least can build some experience.  Employers are more likely to look more favourably on someone taking this kind of initiative.  A charity or community project may be glad of your help.

It depends exactly what type of work you really want ot do. Many sectors of industry in the UK don't tend to take on volunteers.

If you want to go through that route to build experience then you need to be looking at charities to become a volunteer with.

You could also not use a CV but rather a profile sytle intro letter, that way you may be able to side step the lack of a UK career. These types of applications are also becoming more popular with employers as in the UK we have 100's applying for each job they need to be able to find the people they want quickly.
