This is also something Ive considered but didnt real know whether it would be worth it. My plan was to seek employment first, whilst applying for a masters and then if unsuccessfull finding employment do the masters ? Is this a sensible approach?

Really, this is a good idea to do masters in banking and finance. Banking and finance, both have the same elements but focus on a different specialization. so that you can go in various fields like:-
1)Financial analysts
2)Loan officers
3)Collectors
4)Buyers
5) Treasurers
6)financial advisor
7)Bank tellers
