HSBC customer service officer prospects...Back to Career Advice forum

I have just graduated with a 2.1 in politics and have just been offered a job at HSBC as a customer service officer in my local bank. Is it possible to move around into other areas either in risk management or possibly training up as an independent financial advisor. These two possibilities are very different but I don't want to be in a customer service position forever, therefore I would like to know what are the future job prospects of doing a job like this.
I am ambitious and would ideally like to be working for HSBC in Canary Wharf in the course of my career.
Hope people can offer some sound advice about the role and its prospects regarding branching out into other careers within HSBC. |
