Hi to everyone,

I am an Italian banking and strucutred finance lawyer working with a magic circle law firm in Milan. In the past I worked with the capital markets dept. of a well known Wall Street firm in Italy.

I was thinking to switch to the investment banking but I have not an MBA.

I believe to have strong academic and professional credentials. I graduated with the maximum score in law and hold two LLMs (Master of Laws - one in Tax at the Queen Mary and Westfield College in London and another at the University of Chicago Law School) but I am afraid this would not help. I have experienced many changes in my life (I was tax attorney, Capital Markets lawyer, and now banking lawyer) and would be ready to embark into this new adventure though I am not sure whether my law background could be helpful.

I have heard about former lawyers switiching to investment banking and apparently someone is making career. Do you think I may get some chance to switch?

I would really appreciate some nice instructions by any of you.
